Business Development
From light industry to retail, the
opportunities are endless for businesses wishing to expand or
relocate to Snowflake. Plentiful land, affordable development
costs, and a community that's vested in the success of its
local businesses are just a few reasons why Snowflake is
becoming a major economic force in Northeastern Arizona.
Like many rural communities, the population of
Snowflake makes up a dependable workforce, where quality and
pride in craftsmanship add up to low absentee rates,
dedication to production and reliable performance---assets not
always found in the workforce of today's metropolitan areas.
The Town of Snowflake takes an active role in
the growth of the region surrounding the community, known as
Arizona's White Mountains. In concert with the communities of
Show Low and Pinetop-Lakeside to the south, Snowflake is an
active partner in the White Mountain Regional Development
Corporation. This non-profit organization is chartered with
assisting businesses wishing to expand or relocate, and can
provide site location information, site tours, introduction to
financial institutions, and statistics in support of business
expansion.
Enterprise Zone
The Town of Snowflake has been designated as an Arizona
Enterprise Zone, which provides state benefits through income
tax credits and property tax benefits for businesses that meet
certain criteria. These criteria are intended to increase
employment positions in certain targeted areas, or to
encourage investment in fixed assets in the Enterprise Zone.
