Citizen Police Academy
The Snowflake-Taylor Police Department and Navajo County Sheriff’s Office is proud to offer the 2016 Citizen Police Academy in September of 2016. This is a free program designed to give the citizens of both Snowflake and Taylor an opportunity to get an inside look at their police department and law enforcement operations. This course will provide our communities with a better understanding of their police departments operations and resources. Participants will interact with police executives, officers as well as our civilian employee’s. Our goal is to provide a greater awareness and understanding of law enforcement’s role within our communities.
Potential participants for the Citizen’s Academy must meet the following criteria:
- Must be at least 16 years of age (Under 18 years of age will require a parent/guardian signature on the application)
- Reside or work in the towns of Snowflake and Taylor
- No prior felony arrests
- No misdemeanor arrests within the previous 5 years
- Each candidate will have a background check conducted by the Snowflake-Taylor Police Department
The Snowflake-Taylor Police Department reserves the right to deny applications and acceptance to any applicant.
When and Where:
Location: All classes will be held at the Taylor-Snowflake Fire Station located at 325 W 4th Street South, Snowflake AZ.
Days: Every Wednesday evening starting September 7th until November 9th 2016.
Times: 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.

Registration is currently OPEN. We will continue to accept applications until August 31st. You can find the application below, at both Snowflake and Taylor Town Halls as well as the Snowflake-Taylor Police Department.
