Snowflake General Election May 2013 Results

The unofficial election results are in – congratulations to Tom Poscharsky and Stuart Hensley. They join Lynn Johnson and Kerry Ballard as Town Councilman. Johnson and Ballard were elected in March while Poscharsky, Hensley, Brimhall and Morgan were running for the final 2 available seats. They will be sworn in at the next Snowflake Town Council Meeting so come on out to support them. For complete election results click here.

Dig Into Reading with the 2013 Summer Reading Program

Join Snowflake-Taylor Public Library for our Summer Reading Program! The year’s theme is Dig Into Reading.

Everything starts June 3 and ends July 25. Join at any time! Readers ages zero to infinity are welcome. Summer reading information and activity packets are available now. If you would like to participate and make sure you get a packet, sign-up at www.ci.snowflake.az.us/library beginning May 22. Once you sign-up come to the library to get your packet and be ready to READ. Logging minutes begins June 3rd. Read for Prizes! Logging Reading Minutes will begin June 3 and end July 20th

Join us for the Summer Reading Kick-Off! Enjoy games and crafts. Everyone is invited. June 12th at 11:30 am at the Snowflake-Taylor Library
– All Ages (No Sign-Up Required)

Swimming Lesson Sign-Ups

The Snowflake Swimming Pool will be having swim lesson sign-ups on May 15th and May 16th from 4pm-6:30pm in the High School Gym Foyer. The price for Mom/Dad/Tot lessons and Pre-School lessons are $20 per child per lesson session. The price for Beginning/Intermediate/Advanced swim lessons are $35 per child per lesson session. The sessions are as follows: Session 1 is from June 3-June 14; Session 2 is from June 24-July 5; Session 3 is from July 15-July 26; all sessions are Monday-Friday. No information is available yet on Swim Team or Scout Clinics.

Our yearly fund raiser to keep this tradition alive has started. For a $50.00 donation, you can “adopt” a pot. Your donation will help with the purchase and care of 180 flower pots. Help keep the local charm of our Main Street by adopting a pot. Contributors will be recognized.
