Planning and Zoning Meetings are held at 7:00 PM on the first and third Tuesday of each month on an “as needed” basis. When an agenda item is requested to be heard by the Commission, meetings are scheduled. Meetings are held at the Snowflake Town Hall, 81 W. 1st Street South. On occasion, special meetings may be held on alternate days and times. Prior to each Planning and Zoning meeting an agenda of the meeting is prepared. The agenda provides a procedural framework for the meetings, organizing in a logical manner the items that are scheduled for discussion.
The Town of Snowflake encourages residents and visitors to participate in the meetings. Democracy is most effective with an informed electorate. If you desire to have an item addressed at a P&Z meeting, contact the Planning & Zoning Director at Town Hall a minimum of 14 days prior to the meeting. The public may address the P&Z Commission on any agenda item and/or make a comment concerning non-agenda items during the “Call to the Public” portion of the Planning and Zoning meetings. The Commission may not comment on or make recommendation to items presented during the “Call to the Public” portion of the meeting.
By law, a printed copy of the agenda is posted for each meeting, 24 hours in advance of the scheduled meeting at the Town Hall, the Post Office, and Library; a copy may also be obtained at the meeting.
Copies of minutes from previous Planning and Zoning Meetings are available to the public by stopping in at Town Hall.
